St. Joseph begins campaign for new residents

The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce is beginning a new marketing campaign for new residents to the city. The campaign is titled "Uncommon Life", based on St. Joseph's city slogan, "Made with Uncommon Character."

Director of Communications and Marketing, Kristi Bailey, says with this campaign St. Joseph hopes to attract workers in the medical industry, as well as workers in trade and engineering.

"In the St. Joseph area there is a high demand for skilled workers - people that work in the trade industry for a lot of our major employers.  So we're targeting people that work in those fields through Facebook and LinkedIn advertising.  We are also looking for people in the health care industry as well."

Another goal for this marketing campaign is resident retention. The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce is holding a "Get to Know St. Joseph" event on Thursday, September 5th. New residents are highly encouraged to attend the tailgating event to speak with experts on life in St. Joseph.
